This tutorial will guide you through the process of downloading, installing, configuring, and managing your very own ventrilo server for free. This guide will answer most questions you have. Feel free to message me! http://www.ventrilo.com http://www.Whatismyip.com http://www.portforward.com F.A.Q. Q. I get "Unable to bind tcp socket". A. Restart your computer and router. Q.After editing the INI, the settings don't show on the server! A.Close the server before editing your INI file again. also make sure to not rename the file when you save. Q.How many slots is this free server. A.Max slots is 8 Q.What is DZM or DMZPlus mode? A.Dmz mode allows all incoming connections through your router, and makes it so you don't need to port forward. Q.My friend cannot connect! A.Give your friend the ip from whatismyip.com and the port 3784 after opening your ports. Q.My router is different than yours. A.Visit http://www.portforward.com for your router instructions. Q.What is my port numer? A.Port will always be 3784 for a free server Q.After running the server, I cannot connect. A.Keep the "Ventrilo Server" window open. Q.Is there a way to have the server running without that window? A.Sure, Go to All Programs-VentSrv-Service-install.
