She finally is consumed by the darkness and follows Zagato's orders to kill Lantis. As Latis is fighting Hikaru (Nova) all he can see is how she once was. This leaves him at an disadvantage and she runs him though. As he's collapsing he remembers when Zagato first saw Hikaru.(1:07) Zagato always wanted what Lantis has, so when he sees Lantis and Hikaru together he decides he has to have her. In his last breath Lantis tells Hikaru he loves her. Something he never could quite tell her before. This breaks free a small part of Hikaru's light, but the darkness in Hikaru is to strong for her to truly take control. Hikaru reports back to Zagato and reminisces on how they meet. It is then that the light part of her starts to see Lantis in Zagato. It is only when her old friends start to fight with Hikaru, and plead for her to come back that her visions of Zagato turns into visions of Lantis. Zagato seeing the slight changes in Hikaru confronts her and punishes her disloyalty. Hikaru finally snaps, and remembers the talisman that Lantis gave her. This is the key to Hikaru's light side that is still deep and lost in the darkness. As the battle rages on Umi and Fuu then gives up and take the final blow out on Zagato and Hikaru. As Zagato dies the last of the darkness fades away, and Hikaru can finally rest in peace with Lantis.
