The beginning of this video was shot for the most syndicated person the world, none other than the first newspaper political cartoonist, Pat Olifant. Although originally from Australia, he migrated to Denver where he started working for the local paper. In 2004 he unveiled his first sculpted statue in Austin, Texas where I first met him, and later was invited to his second sculpture unveiling in nearby San Marcos, Texas, where the introduction snippet was shot. The day before the unveiling, sometime after a call I placed to him, he broke his foot in his hometown home located in Santa Fe, New Mexico which rendered him unable to make it to the unveiling. Another thing to take in consideration about the uniqueness of the snippet is the person giving the direction cues is none other than screenwriter Bill Wittliff (The Perfect Storm, Lonesome Dove series, Legends of the Fall, The Cowboy Way, Red Headed Stranger), and coincidentally one of Olifant's friends. His friends decided to shoot this small spoof to "criticize the critic" and to give him a little memory of the unveiling that he missed. The rest of the subsequent video was shot either by myself, or of myself (with direction credit) behind the scenes of doing what I do. Here is a breakdown of the clips (in this specific order): 1.)
