True final battle with Chaos and the game's best ending. Well, now that I've finished it, I can say that it's quite a good game. I'd definitely say it's as good as Symphony of the Night, or even better (the two are quite similar, actually). Pros: -Soul system allows lots of customization. -Excellent soundtrack. -Neat story, something different than the usual 'my girlfriend has been kidnapped by Dracula and now I'm going to his castle to rescue her' thing. -Great replay value thanks to the randomness of soul collecting and other extra goodies that can be unlocked. -Just really fun! Cons: -Too easy. Not as easy as Symphony of the Night, but it's definitely not that difficult, either, since it also has the overpowered equipment problem (most of the best equipment, while sometimes well concealed, aren't very difficult to obtain at all). But at least there's a Hard mode. -Very short compared to the other Metrovanias I've played (unless you want to collect every soul, I hear). Thankfully there aren't any repeats of other areas of the game to artificially extend the playtime (hello, Portrait of Ruin). -On the other hand, soul collecting can be very tedious and repetitive. Castlevanias have never had the best system of item drops, and I really feel for those people that want to collect everything. But there aren't too many souls that are required to get through the game.
