SALTAF 2009 (South Asian Literary and Theater Arts Festival) in Washington, DC, features Paresh Makashi's Harishchandrachi Factory. India's official entry for the Foreign Language Film category of the Academy Awards. This film is about the making of Indias first full-length feature length film, Raja Harishchandra, brought to the screen by a tenacious, pioneering ex-printer named Dadasaheb Phalke.
