From the Designer Clownfish Collector store that brought you a lot of True Picasso, Tequila Sunrise, Stubby, Spotty Gem, ONYX clownfish REEF AQUATICA is proud to be the first and only store to bring the SUPER RARE McCullochi Clownfish to CANADA. The McCullochi clownfish (Amphiprion mccullochi) is endemic to the Lord Howe Island in Australia, a United Nations National Heritage Site, NSW marine reserve and is off-limits to any kind of collection since 1982. Lord Howe Island, much like the Galapagos island has very unique animals and fish that are not found anywhere in the world; the Mccullochi clownfish happens to be one of the most unique endemic clownfish that is only found in the waters of Lord Howe Island. More rare than the Gem Tang or Leafy Sea Dragon, only 44 has been ever been released worldwide and this is the first and only available release of these clownfish in Canada. The Mccullochi clownfish is of the tomato clownfish complex (i.e. body shaped and behavior) and is one of the largest clownfish, it has a full black body with only a white head bar, the head bar does turn into more a blue colour as the fish age and mature. These are offsprings from a collection trip that easily cost over US$10,000+. For rare fish collectors, this has to be one of the rarest fish offered in the hobby. I will call them "mochi" for now ;-D
