I'm Dana Ward at our Beverly Hills headquarters and we're going through the details of the New Moon wolves one last time to celebrate the November film release. Getting to know the wolf pack is unquestionable as these strong guys who are native to the La Push really make the Twilight sequel more violent and certainly more animalistic than the original, more vampire-dominated movie. Acting like a tribe, each wolf can hear the thoughts of the others in the pack, and therefore, everything is seemingly communicated through their eyes. Even though all of the wolf scenes are amplified with crazy CGI action, the actors playing the pack definitely get into the action as well. We've already been introduced to Jacob Black, as played by Taylor Lautner. We get to see this beefed-up 15-year-old go through the process of transformation and join the group that he once labeled as a cult. That group is, of course, the wolf pack as led by Sam Uley. The character's actor Chaske Spencer described the Alpha-wolf as being the chief of police and obviously the first to phase. He's on the record saying he and the rest of the pack worked out hard with lots of sit-ups and pushups, causing him to put on 30 pounds of solid muscle. Next in line, we've got the "bad boy" Paul as played by Alex Meraz, who describes his dark-silver wolf as short-tempered and volatile. Hopefully we get to see some sweet moves from this guy, since he has a background in martial arts. Alex recently spoke out that the on-set experience was very positive, adding that the director loved to have the wolves shoot in the dark, rainy weather, even in their no-shoes and no-shirts wardrobe. Embry is another pack member, as played by Kiowa Gordon, reunites as one of Jacob's best friends when Jake phases after him. The avid rock music lover admitted that they didn't have to wear too much makeup on-set, and that it was Stephenie Meyer, another Arizona native, who discovered him to play the wolf character. Jared is played by the outgoing and comedic Bronson Pelletier. He said that his favorite part about playing his short and thick brown fur wolf is acting with the rest of the pack. Well, that's quite a wolf pack answer! In real-life, Bronson said that he would love his special power to be a jumper from one place to another... of course, if we lived in a world like in Twilight. Plus, we're also gonna introduce you to a late-bloomer, if that's what you wanna call him, the character of Quil went to actor Tyson Houseman. A perfect fit for the pack, this guy loves snowboarding, skateboarding and guitar. So, there you have it. Your New Moon Wolf Pack!
