As part of a student initiative to recognize Daniel Pearl World Music Days, The Duke University Symphony Orchestra dedicates its October 8, 2008 concert in Baldwin Auditorium as part of the Daniel Pearl World Music Days network (www.danielpearlmusicdays.org). This annual event brings together thousands around the world under the theme of Harmony for Humanity to celebrate the power of music to bring people together and focus on our common humanity rather than differences that set people apart.
