Mumbai: Music composer AR Rahman's last big release was the popular sound track of Jodhaa Akbar, and now we will again hear him in debutant director Tanveer Ahmed's Ada, a film that's been almost six years in the making. Keeping in mind the time period during which the music evolved, the soundtrack reflects changing tastes -- from old world melodies to contemporary sounds. "The music of the film actually took six years to make because the film started six years back in 2002. The music has a very old school melody feel. But it also has other tunes so it does have a colour of different genres in it," Rahman said. When Rahman signed for the film it was to star biggies like Amitabh Bachchan and Dilip Kumar apart from one of the Khans, however Ada is now left with a cast of newcomers including Nauheed Cyrusi and Rahul Roy. "I think due to various reasons it was properly started two years back and it's going to get completed by next month. Sometimes films get delayed due to various reasons," Rahman said. So, as Rahman ties up with a brand of mobile phones for a contest to remix two tracks from the film, we say all's well that ends well.
