The student attended the International Language Institute (ILI) in Halifax. ILI is the largest and oldest private English-language school in Atlantic Canada. Since 1983, thousands of international students have selected ILI to study English in Canada, to prepare for an English University, or to write the TOEFL or IELTS exam. The institute hosts students from Korea, Japan, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Germany, Switzerland, France, Mexico, Brazil, Columbia, China, Taiwan, Russia, and many others! This history made ILI a symbol for internationalization in Nova Scotia. The institute joined the Nova Scotia 'Come To Life' initiative as a charter member, offering its history and expertiese to the provincial effort to attract more visitors and settlers to Nova Scotia.
