This is video is from Comic-Con 2009 which was on July 22-26, 2009, in San Diego, California. Sorry for the shaky video camera but you know how that goes. I've been going to Comic-Con for years since I was a kid and I can tell you about when it was mostly comic books and when I wished that it had more media movie tv stuff. LOL. My goodness, how it's become a popular media mecca nowadays. Comic-Con is not just for nerds anymore. This video is mostly of the Dealers' Room, i.e., the Exhibit Hall. Comic-Con is like old hat for me and so I enjoy going through the Exhibit Hall. There is a lot more in there than what is shown in this video which I've edited down to 7:46 minutes. And then there are the panels. You can search for other people's videos if you want to see what happened at the many different panels. Other people can do a better job filming the panel presentations than me with my Flip camera. If you've never gone to Comic-Con and want to, then schedule your calendar to free up at least two days or the whole 4-and-half days where one day you spend in the Dealers' Room (Exhibit Hall), one or two days in Hall H for the big panels, one day wandering the other rooms for yet more panels, and another day for wondering around the Dealers' Room again. Comic-Con is so BIG nowadays. Fortunately, even if you don't catch everything you want to see, there are the internet news reports and youtube videos on the various Comic-Con panels for you to catch up on when you get home. This is the first time that I've done video at the Comic-Con. In years past, I've usually had my Canon digital camera for still pictures. I remember back in the day years years years ago when I first brought a digital camera (my old rinky-dinky Casio QV-10A plastic camera for still pictures) to the Comic-Con before digital cameras became widely used when people looked at me funny wondering about that fancy video display on the back of the camera. Nowadays, everyone has a digital camera, cell phone with a camera, an iPhone, or some sort of Flip-type camcorder at the Comic-Con. Also, do your own search for other people's videos if you are more interested in the costumes. I've sorta outgrown the costumes thing when, as a kid, I used to wear star wars, old-school battlestar, and logan's run costumes (and I still have my props in storage somewhere!). Going to Comic-Con or even going around downtown or the Gaslamp in San Diego, and seeing people wearing costumes during the time of Comic-Con is like "normal". LOL. Comic-Con has always been the highlight for my summers....
