Here Comes Goodbye Ch. 7 Part 2 I zoned out after that and I was trying to get a grip on myself. The interview ended sortly later and I got up and got out of there. I stood in front of the mirror in the bathroom and splashed some water onto my face. The room started to spin for a second and I grabbed onto the counter. "You okay, man?" Joe head appeared from around the door. I closed my eyes and nodded "Yea, I'm good." "Okay.." He didn't sound like he was believing me but he left and I followed him out, tripping on where to tile ended and carpet began. "Dude, balamce much?" Kevin joked. I gave him a sarcastic smile and walked down the hallway and through the entry way to the car. After pulling out of the parking lot full of a sea of flashing lights and roaring questions, we headed out to the venue. Dad was going over th different bands that would be there and the song setlist for us. We were the third in line. Between All Time Low and Rascal Flatts. She had to like these guys. I laid my head agianst the window and tried to concentrate on waves crashing onto a shore and the palm fronds blowing in the wind to get this headache to go away to some extent. When we got to the venue, we sat and watched while Hey Monday and the All- American Rejects performed their sound check. Our sound check was after theirs and, oh man, did I screw that up. I tripped four times, two of those ended me up on the floor, on my ass. I broke three strings. Played two wrong chords and started singing the wrong song. Kevin and Joe watched silently as I pissed myself off by these things. I would curse each time, away from the mic of course. I wasn't going to be able to do this right. I collasped onto the couch that was in our dressing room and directed my attention to the white wall that had a large water stain on it. The roaring screams were giving me a migraine. And we haven't even been onstage yet. All Time Low finished up their last song and ran backstage, giving us a high five and saying 'break a leg' before heading off to their dressing room. With my luck today, I might just break a leg. I sighed as the stage dimmed and the stagehands handed us our guitars. We walked on stage and a couple screams were heard from the people who could see us. The spotlight shot on as Kevin and I stummed the opening chords to That's Just The Way We Roll. I put a smile on my face, along with probably the best acting I have ever done. Everything was perfect. I didn't miss a beat or trip. Well until we were in the middle of Year 3000. The lights were becoming brighter (if that was possible), the screams louder, my headache, larger. My vision was blurred and I felt too hot. I kept singing and playing but it was all mechanic. My body knew what to do because it's done it thousands of times. But my mind, It was confused, dazed, contorted. It was right. My mind was all jumbled. Like it didn't know what to think or what to do. The bright lights started to dim, the screams were faded until they were muted and my vision became sharper. I stumbled backwards, my balance was way off. I tried to put my hand behind me to break my fall but they weren't fast enough. The Last thing I saw was the audience falling up, then the dark sky, then black. The last thing I felt was my head hitting the stage floor with an incredible amount of force. The last thing I heard was Charlotte's voice telling me goodbye. ******************
