Cinema lovers must be eagerly waiting for Friday to ease their troubles, and witness the larger than life picture of Indian films. We at ZoOm give you the overview of this week's releases. They are: Sikandar - Director Piyush Jha makes his Bollywood comeback with Sikander, a film on football set in Kashmir. Writer-director Piyush Jhas name does not instantly ring a bell. But he scripted and directed a semi-hit comical satire on Bollywood in 2004, King of Bollywood and then went underground. The 40-year-old is finally making a comeback in March this year, with his new venture Sikandar, based on a boy and his passion for football. Starring the now grown up Parzaan Dastur as lead (the Sikh kid from Kuch Kuch Hota Hai) R Madhavan and Sanjay Suri, Sikandar is a story set against the unrest in Kashmir. But its not a film about terrorism or political tensions in the state. Dastur plays a 14-year-old (Sikandar Raza) whose only concern and passion is football, and being the best at it. Along the way he gets distracted by the violence in the strife torn state and ends up working for the movement. Shadow - Sanjana Rajpoot (Sonali Kulkarni), a police officer is flummoxed. Six months after a serial murder case came to the polices notice, it is still unsolved. The serial murderer is still on the loose and claiming more victims. Arjun Sherawat (Nasir Khan) is the suspected murderer and a mystery. Sheetal (Hrishitaa Bhatt) is a press reporter and is passionate about her work. She knows the case inside out. Rahul (Milind Soman) is another reporter who is following this case closely but is oblivious to Sheetals feelings for him. On a tip off from Sheetal, a man suspected to be the murderer, is shot dead. Even as they celebrate the news, Arjun Sherawat re-surfaces and tells the world that his next target is a builder Habeeb Fazal. As the narrative unravels it raises many questions. How is Sheetal getting the information on the victims? Is Arjun Sherwat committing these murders or does he have any accomplices? What is the reason behind these senseless murders? Is Rahul the bad guy? Will Sanjana outwit the murderer and bring an end to the bloodshed?
