"Get up ! (Before the Night Is Over)" is a 1989 song recorded by Belgian dance-pop and electronica act Technotronic, featuring Ya Kid K. It was the second single from band's debut album Pump Up the Jam: The Album on which it features as second track, and was released in 1990. It was very successful in many countries, becoming a top ten hit in France, Austria, the Netherlands, Sweden, Germany, Norway, UK, U.S., Ireland and Australia. It even topped the chart in Switzerland. The song was re-released in 1998 and in 1999 respectively under the title "Get Up (the '98 Sequel)" and "Get Up (the 1999 Sequel)".
