My attempt at this song by Don McLean. Probably one of the most difficult karaokes for me to do b/c of all the changes in melody and timing (which I'm sure I messed up--not to mention it's one of the longest songs I've ever seen!) Anyway, I couldn't hit the high notes, so changed it a bit and sang a key lower. Lyrics: (don't ask what they mean 'cuz I've no clue...) :) A long, long time ago... I can still remember How that music used to make me smile. And I knew if I had my chance That I could make those people dance And, maybe, they'd be happy for a while.
