Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief based on the book by Rick Riordan. 17-year-old Logan Lerman stars as Percy Jackson, a boy who discovers that he's the descendant of a Greek god and sets out on an adventure to settle an on-going battle between the gods. While this does seem to play a bit more to the younger demographic, the one thing I am excited about is the return of the teaser that barely shows any real footage. Also, don't forget, as dark as this looks, it's actually a comedy - Sean Bean plays Zeus and Steve Coogan plays Hades. Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief is directed by Chris Columbus, of everything from Adventures in Babysitting to Home Alone to Mrs. Doubtfire to Bicentennial Man to Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone and Chamber of Secrets to the Rent remake to I Love You Beth Cooper from this year. The screenplay was written by Craig Titley of Scooby-Doo and the two Cheaper by the Dozen movies previously.
