Cloud was supposed to be her son too but now I think he fits more in the role of her boyfriend (marriage between them is getting way to overated xD) The bad guys (Noctis, Sephiroth, Kadaj, Lightning) are Jenova's human reincarnation that are supposed to kill the children that survived the curse.
