Vince Greyson (DeForest Kelley) is a mild mannered bank teller who experiences a terrifying nightmare. A nightmare so horrific that he is convinced it is as real as the horror he feels at the bruises on his neck, a key in his hand that he has ever seen before and a cut on his arm. Vince dreamed that he committed a murder and is now convinced that he did it. He seeks the help of his brother-in-law Cliff Herlihy (Paul Kelly), a police detective, and tells him everything. Cliff finds the story absurd and dismisses the entire idea telling Vince that he has just been working too hard. When Vince goes on a picnic with Betty, a woman he works with along with Cliff and his wife, the foursome is caught in a thunderstorm. They end up seeking refuge and Vince is mysteriously able to guide them to a house in the middle of nowhere. It doesn't take long for Vince and Cliff to determine that this is where a real murder was committed. Here is an interesting side note from Wikipedia about Paul Kelly: "His career momentum was briefly halted with a two-year (1927-1929) forced hiatus when he spent 25 months in California's San Quentin prison for beating to death actor Ray Raymond in a fistfight. Raymond's widow, Dorothy MacKaye, later married Kelly. She was briefly imprisoned for being an accomplice in the murder. Kelly later played the part of San Quentin Warden Clinton Duffy in the movie Duffy of San Quentin." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paul_Kelly_(actor) Fear In The Night was released in 1947 and was directed by Maxwell Shane. It marked DeForest Kelley's film debut. This movie brought to you by hwy61movies. Please take a moment to rate this movie and add your comments.
