Jon Talbain 1.1 for MUGEN 04.14 First release: 11/11/2001 ============================================ Jon is my favorite Darkstalkers/Vampire series character - there's just something indescribably cool about a werewolf who's also a martial artist. Why did I make Rikuo before him? Well... uhh... I'll get back to you on that. Source: Vampire Savior ====================================================================== System: Jon is a 6-button character, like most Capcom fighters. In case you don't know the layout, here's how it works: x y z a b c x = Light Punch y = Medium Punch z = Strong Punch a = Light Kick b = Medium Kick c = Strong Kick COMMANDS: Dash: Double tap forward or backward. Jon can attack during his forward dash. Push Block: Rapidly press any button while blocking a hit. Guard Cancel: F, D, DF, F, punch Roll-getup: Hold forward or backward while getting up. Pursuit Attack: U + punch while your opponent is lying down (2 punches for an ES version) Throw: While right next to your opponent, press forward or backward and a punch (Medium, Strong) or kick (Medium, Strong) button. Air Throw: While next to your opponent in midair, press forward or backward and a punch (Medium/ Strong) button. ------------==========================================================------------------------ Legend: (D = Down, DF = Down-forward, F = forward, B = back... you get the idea) All of Jon's special moves have an "ES" (or Enhanced Special) version, meaning that they can be made more powerful at the expense of 1 super level. Just perform the move's motion and press two buttons instead of one to activate. ------------------------------------------------------------------ Beast Cannon - D, DF, F, Punch (ground) F, D, DF, F, Punch (ground, anti-air) D, DF, F, Punch (in midair) Jon flies forward, with a comet-like aura around his body. It's possible to change his direction in mid-flight by pressing a direction and a punch button. ES: Jon can change direction 5 times, and the move's damage is slightly higher. ---------------------------- Climb Razor - D, U, Kick Jon leaps upward in a kicking motion, creating a wave of energy. The strength of kick button used determines the height of the jump. ES: Extra hits. ---------------------------- Million Flicker - D, DB, B, Punch Jon pulls out his nunchaku and strikes upwards, then downwards. If Jab is used, he stays still, but with Strong and Fierce he'll slide forward a little as he attacks. ES: Jon goes into an extended Million Flash after the two strikes, hitting for extra damage. ---------------------------- Million Flash - B, D, DB, B, Punch Jon flails wildly with his nunchaku. This move has the ability to stop most projectiles. ES: Extra damage. ---------------------------- Wild Circular - F, D, B, Kick Grabbing his opponent, Jon spins backward through the air, then dives downward and slams them into the ground. ES: Two slams instead of one. ======================================================== aka Super Moves. Both require one level of energy. -------------------------------------------------------- Dragon Cannon - B, D, F, Kick Jon raises his nunchaku into the air, and a gigantic snake made of flames flies across the screen from behind him. ----------------------------------- Moment Slice - LP, MP, F, LK, MK Extending his claws (like a cat?!?), Jon strikes with them horizontally, attempting to impale his opponent. ================================================================================ [[[[DARK FORCE]]]] -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Command: Same power Punch + Kick (ie HP+HK) Entering Dark Force mode will sap one level of energy and give Jon a pair of flickering images that follow his every move. They can hit Jon's opponent with their normal attacks, and greatly extended combos can be executed as a result. After activation, the images will last for about 7 seconds before they disappear and Jon returns to normal. Be careful, however, as Jon will stop and howl once time runs out, leaving himself wide open to a counterattack.
