http://www.coasterimage.com In 2009 the skyline at Kings Island changed forever when they added the tallest and fastest roller coaster in the park's history - Diamondback. Standing 230 feet tall and reaching speeds of 80 miles per hour, Kings Island billed Diamondback as "the tallest, fastest and meanest roller coaster ever." Diamondback was the first B&M roller coaster in the USA to use the open-air stadium style seating and the layout features 10 drops, two helixes, a hammerhead turn and a splashdown finale all packed into a mile of track. Diamondback covers 10 acres of land, cost $22 million to build and is Kings Island's 15th roller coaster.
