Harriman, TN January 10-11, 2009 Saturday JWW- Didn't get this one on video and of course it was our only Q of the weekend (and first Q ever!) She ran the Novice JWW course in 31.22s, half a second faster than a classmate's quick BC! Her YPS was 3.65- that's faster than Marron ever managed in Novice or Open and almost as fast as Marron's current average. Spy's gonna be a fast one! Saturday Standard- A great run as far as I'm concerned since she had never seen the broad or panel jump before. I hope her dogwalk in trials eventually ends up as beautiful as it is in practice but I'll take a completed, clean DW for now. Sunday JWW- Just that one knocked bar. Notice how she glances off to the side as she approaches the weaves (dog on the other side of the fence at the practice jump) but keeps her concentration- what a good baby dog! Saturday Standard- Showing her true baby dog colors! I'm not worried about all the mistakes. The table was my fault anyway- that's what you get when you teach an automatic down and then mark the down when she gets on because you forgot that it was a sit today. I also love that she clearly had thought about that panel and figured it out literally overnight! We're gonna have to work on tunnel entrances and fix this whole popping out to go find the OTHER entrance thing. It's becoming a habit.
