Worst Motel Room Ever

On one of our storm chasing trips, MaryLynn and I stayed in a horrific hotel room that probably should have been condemned. It was the America's Best Value Inn in the northern part of Wichita Falls off of I-44. Besides the cockroaches, we walked around in our socks and they were black on the bottoms after walking around for only 15 minutes or so. There were cigarette burns in EVERYTHING, even though it was a non-smoking room. The fridge and microwave had some sort of yellow coloration all over them. The walls had stuff written on them and had holes. The tub did not drain and felt "spongy" on the bottom of the feet. The smoke detector kept beeping because of a low battery so I had to disable it. The sink and whole bathroom was rust colored and very old. Half the lights in the place worked. It seriously should have been condemned. But it had HBO!
