Alright, here is a remix of the songs Zdarlight and Bucky Done Gun by Joachim Garraud and/or Axwell? I edited the video about a year ago. Sorry about low quality, I couldn't find a high quality video to work with. The video was ~3 minutes and the song was ~5 minutes. It's never easy editing when the song is longer then the video! Anyway, I think it turned out alright. ----------------------------------------- "Bucky Done Gun" is the third single from M.I.A.'s critically acclaimed album Arular. It is written by Maya Arulpragasam and Wesley Pentz and produced by Diplo, with additional production by A. Brucker, P. Byrne and Wizard. The track samples heavily from Deize Tigrona's baile funk song "Injeção." Both "Injeção" and "Bucky Done Gun" sample the horns from "Gonna Fly Now" (the theme song from Rocky), composed by Bill Conti. M.I.A. performed the song on May 3, 2005 on Jimmy Kimmel Live. "Bucky Done Gun" was included in the soundtrack of NBA Live 06, but renamed and re-edited as "Bucky Done." The music video for "Bucky Done Gun" was directed by Anthony Mandler. It features Arulpragasam rapping aggressively against a desolate wasteland, erratically interspersed with scenes of her performing live in an underground nightclub, filmed in an artsy, guerrilla style. The video is also mixed with images of teenagers throwing grenades of smoking colour at buildings; Arulpragasam's live backup singer Ms. Cherry provocatively grinding against a chain-linked fence and giggling children playing in dirty streets and damp landscapes. [edit]Song title meaning In an interview with Ashlene Nand, M.I.A. was asked "what the hell does Bucky Done Gun mean?". Her response was: I dont know!! (Laughs) I really dont know. At the time, the concept that I was thinking of was how far we are going to go with gangster culture in rap music. Thats really what I was thinking about. I was thinking about 50 Cent. It started off as Public Enemy and ended with 50 Cent. What was that journey (for rap music) and how did that happen? In London, Bucky is a slang word for gun. Its a real British, Grime_(music) word. So I was thinking, what is the aftermath of gangster rap? Were they going to get into therapy? Mathangi "Maya" Arulpragasam (Tamil: மாதங்கி 'மாயா' அருள்பிரகாசம்) (born 18 July 1975), better known by her stage name M.I.A., is a British songwriter, record producer, singer, fashion designer, and artist of Sri Lankan Tamil origin. An accomplished visual artist by 2002, M.I.A. came to prominence in early 2004 through file-sharing of her singles "Galang" and "Sunshowers" on the Internet. She released her Mercury Prize-nominated debut album Arular in 2005. Her second album, Kala, was released in 2007 and gained her mainstream chart success. She has been nominated for two Grammy Awards and an Academy Award. Her compositions have been noted to encompass various genres, often with political lyricism and artwork. M.I.A. has described her music style as being "other." In addition to her work as a graphic designer, providing artwork and photography for releases and as a director of music videos, she has also experimented with documentary film and in 2008 released a collection of her fashion designs. She is the founder of the record label N.E.E.T. In 2009, the TIME magazine placed M.I.A in the Time 100 list of "World's Most Influential people" for having "global influence across many genres" 2004"Galang"Ruben Fleischer "Sunshowers"Rajesh Touchriver 2005"Bucky Done Gun"Anthony Mandler 2007"Bird Flu"[A]Kalyan Kumar & M.I.A.
