Tonight, we are staying at Lance Armstrong's loft in Marfa, Texas. We celebrated Day of the Dead by celebrating Pablo's life. Stan and Amy set up this beautiful altar below Lance's Shepard Fairey piece—a tribute to Shepard's portrait of Pablo on the back of our jerseys. It was a total surprise to me, and a very welcome one. We cried, we talked about Pablo's life, about the funny things he used to say, about my emptiness, and all the joy he brought to my life. And about how I am searching for acceptance with every pedal stroke of Pablove Across America.
