Emilio Caceres Y Si Orquestra del Club Aquila recorded Alla En El Rancho Grande (Over at the Big Ranch) for the Mexican subsidiary of Victor Records in San Antonio, April 4, 1934. Alla en el Rancho Grande, alla donde vivia, habia una rancherita que alegre me decia, Te voy a hacer unos calzones como los que usa el ranchero, te los comienzo de lana, te los acabo de cuero. Emilio caceres-Violin; Ernie Caceres-Clarinet/Sax; Jesse Gonzales-Trumpet; Manuel Garza-Trumpet; Albert Ramirez-Trombone; Roberto Ramirez-Sax; Rudy Reyes-Sax; Jules Garcia-Piano;Johnny Gomez-Guitar; Jesus Villa-Str. Bass; Alex Acosta-Drums; Herrera y Quiroga-Vocals. In the 30s and 40s, Emilio led his own San Antonio based band-half of the orchestra were family members. The Menger Hotel and its' Menger Bar are still open after 150 years of operation in San Antonio, Texas-just "across the alley" from the Alamo on Alamo Plaza.
