From the May 15, 2008, TMU concert in the Brown Theatre. This is the fourth movement of The Music of Bharam Chak, a work for percussion theatre by Chris Mayer. This video incorporates music recorded live in concert with the images that were projected on a screen above the ensemble. Martial Music tells the story of the darkest chapter in the history of Bharam Chak, an era known as the Multiplication of the Spears. The warrior caste first sought to assert their power, then the various warrior houses fell upon each other. The images seen here are from petroglyphs made by the sole survivor of the last battle, driven mad by the carnage.
