A montage about 3 American Olympic gymnasts (Shannon Miller, Kristen Maloney, Chellsie Memmel) who were some of the most consistent, rock solid gymnasts of their respective quads and won several titles. For some reason, these gymnasts never known as the "darlings" of the sport and never got the recognition they deserved. Shannon Miller (Dynamo) was overshadowed by Kim Zmeskal in Barcelona and Dominique Moceanu in Atlanta. Kristen Maloney (Parkettes) was overshadowed by Vanessa Atler earlier in her career and then later Elise Ray. Chellsie Memmel was overshadowed by Carly Patterson and then later Nastia Liukin and Shawn Johnson. In addition to being rock solid when performing very difficult gymnastics, these gymnasts were some of the toughest girls in the sport. Shannon Miller injured her knee on vault at the 2000 US Olympic Trials but did her second vault before withdrawing from the competition. She also competed at the Atlanta Olympics with tendonitis in her wrist. Kristen Maloney hurt her leg on vault at the Sydney Olympics but continued and stuck her second vault. She spent most of her career competing with a stress fracture and/or a rod in her leg and an also dealt with a shoulder injury. Chellsie Memmel hurt her shoulder on bars at the 2006 world championships but continued in the competition knowing that her team needed her in the 6-3-3 format. Chellsie also competed at the Olympics with a broken ankle. These girls really were the "rocks" of team USA.
