In my opinion, the main value of YouTube lies in the fact that it is, or can be, a PUBLIC FORUM. To that end, this is the first of a multi-part series covering the private message I received from "StudiousJW", and my response to him/her. ########### TEXT BELOW ########### Dear Rational Skeptic, I don't know the first thing about this person, but your calling her out might as well be the same message to me. This private message is offered with respect to you and without a challenging "attitude". Prior to becoming one of JW's(and even over the last 30 years), I bought and diligently studied dozen's books on JW's, including: 30 Years a Watchtower Slave Kingdom of the Cults Ray Franz "Crisis of Conscience" Jehovah's Witnesses Answered Verse by Verse and many others... and, I've diligently studied dozens of anti-JW websites including: FreeMinds.org Carm.org jwfiles.com and dozens of others. I consider myself one of the most well versed JW's on any and every complaint against JW's. There isn't a "charge" against us that I haven't already seen, heard, reviewed, and analyzed multiple times. Frankly, most of the "charges" against us by JW-opposers are just repeats of what they've read out of some anti-JW book without doing any level of investigative research on their own. In case my background matters, I'm University trained in Math, Physics, and Engineering. I'm a "white-collar" professional in the High Tech field. I wasn't raised as a JW. I learned about JW's while I was an atheistic Physics Major at the local University. The JW's were the LAST religion I wanted to discover were teaching Bible truth. After all, they are pretty much universally hated and opposed. I've been one of JW's now for 30 years. So, I can truthfully say that I've done the investigation you're calling for. I've sorted through all the charges against us and explanations offered. I'm confident I've done the research and have made a well-informed decision. Any other questions? Respectfully, SJW
