For those of you who are forever Bobcat fans, here is a little excitement from the past. This 1999 Bobcat team was created from a few left over returning athletes from the 1998 tri-district champion team. The 1999 bobcats won the 1999 district 16-5A D-1 crown out right, this was the first time in 15 years. It was a team picked to finish at the bottom of the district in pre-season polls. 5 teams from this 16-5A district would finish in the top 15 in the greater Houston area by season close with the Bobcats coming out on top!. The highest rated team from distirct 16 5A was Jersey village ranked 10th in the State until they met the Bobcats. The Bobcats faced the Jersey Village falcons (JV Homecoming) featuring Selvin Young (University of Texas / Denver Broncos). District 16-5A was later picked the most competitive district in the State of Texas for 1999. The Bobcats drew a homecoming crowd in Pridgeon Stadium well over 12,000 when facing 17th ranked Cy-Falls. Colleges across the country recruited many of these 1999 CF Athletes.
