The penultimate chapter of the documentary, "Minot, or (My Uncle, the Author)" by Stephen Conn In this chapter, his sister explains Minot's torment at being taken from his family as a boy to be raised by his aunt, but the peace he's found with girlfriend Jane; in a five-minute segment in the dark, Minot drunkenly attempts romance one night with Jane; he relates how his writing career is stuck at a vanity press level; his feelings of being a misfit; confronting the late Norman Mailer at a literary conference about his life.
