This Video was not done my me- full credit Goes to JJames for the footage and gameplay. Enjoy! ---------------------- JJames Commentary: This is a Tool-assisted Speedrun of a Super Mario World ROM hack, called Super Mario World Extra. (Original title eh?) There are a few things to note, firstly being that this is pretty much a level only hack with the exception of a couple tweaks here and there on the overworld and level names. Otherwise, the only real change is the levels. Secondly, I am no real hardcore TASer. I don't do things to frame perfection, nor do I use hidden values and such to do crazy tricks like the 16 hop. I do this with 0.3x speed and rewind states alone. I also make quite a few mistakes that I never bother going back and fixing so it's no true TAS. But still, I tried hard to complete a lot of levels as fast as I could so that accounts for something. With that out of the way, let's get onto the level comments. The final part of the TAS, finishing up Forest of Illusion. This goes up to Castle 5 and then quits. House of Boo 4 (Normal) - 0:21 Much more easier then the secret exit. Not much actually happens except for a spinfly. Shell Road 4 (Secret) - 0:46 Marvel at my backwards flying. There was an alternate, faster way of doing the puzzle but I forgot it and ended up doing it the traditional way. Lift Express 5 - 0:51 It hadn't occured to me until later on where I got to the blue blocks that I could've left the lifts way behind and did the level at my own pace, but I guess I just chickened out. Reznor's Fort 2 - 1:27 The first part is autoscrolling, so I have some fun with spinjumping's immunity to spikey things. I also ended up being stupid with a spinjump near a grinder and blue blocks. Shell Road 4 (Normal) - 0:36 I screw up the first flight by taking a shell with me and smacking a koopa I needed to bounce off of to get the rest of it done right. I didn't care too much for it because I was tired, which explains the second flight failure too. However, I did manage the cape swipe into the moving shell then still flying near the end pretty well. Great Grasslands 4 (Secret) - 0:56 I end up screwing up more flights! Also be amazed at how I magically turn a block into a fish... Roy's Castle - 1:10 This is it, the last level I would be running. I poured the rest of my energy into this one. Despite that, it's normal fare. I don't make too many mistakes but I don't do anything worth mentioning either. That's it. The TAS is over. Be sure to look out for the release of the hack soon, as all levels except for the final normal Bowser level, the two castles in the Bowser world and Bowser's Castle itself are complete.
