The Cal Poly Jazz Band Spring 09 Show has Dr. Dave Kopplin http://www.csupomona.edu/~dfkopplin/personalpage/personal.html and Zac Matthews http://www.zacmatthews.com feature longtime friend and tonights Guest Artist, Jamie Findlay http://jamiefindlay.com. As Jamie tells it, this Chart is a Tribute to his Wife of 30 years but could not decide between his wifes two middle names. His good friend Duck Baker http://www.duckbaker.com solved the dilemma by recommending Jamie name the Chart with a combination of both names, Marie and Theo, becoming Marie-Theo. This beautiful delicate solo is hypnotizing (the Band members are in awe and mesmerized by it) as it translates its message of love between Jamie and his wife Janet. Originally from Seattle Washington, Jamie is one of the masters of contemporary acoustic guitar Jamie is also a very busy performer and composer, both in the States and abroad.
