The storms this day were not all that impressive but, due to the high low level shear, the storms were able to produce numerous funnels as well as a few tornadoes across IA and southern MN. As seen in the video, we witnessed 4 funnels as well as a long, slender, ropey tornado that persisted for a few minutes. All in all, a surprisingly good day for how the storms looked in person and on the radar. The storms themselves had very little lightning and no hail due to the lower cloud tops. Nearly each storm, though, seemed to have a lowering due to the very low LCL heights as well as a lot of movement at the bases.
