Shannon Sharpe is considered by many to be the best tight end to ever play the game. Before being drafted by the Denver Broncos in 1990, Sharpe was considered too small to play tight end and too big to play receiver. However, quarterback John Elway showed his support after the player joined the team and Elway continued to vouch for what turned out to be an All-Pro.
