Tamil National Alliance Parliamentarian Vinonodha Radalingham has acclaimed the relief granted to civilians. He heaped praise on the Government when the Widows and Orphans Pensions Scheme Bill was taken up for debate in Parliament yesterday. The TNA Parliamentarian said the Government had granted all facilities to the civilians who have taken shelter at the transitional village at Kadirgarmarpuram in Vavuniya. He said he personally witnessed how the civilians were living freely sans fear and suspicion. All essential services are being provided to the civilians. Youths have been directed to vocational training. He highly applauded these developments. Earlier the lives of the civilians were endangered under the jackboot of the LTTE. However their lives are now secure, he added.
