Sorry I haven't posted anything in a while. I've been busy with friends, Honor Society & Jonas!! Yes, that's right.. Sunday, my friends & I went to Live@Much + the Jonas Brothers concert!! It was all so incredibly amazing! The best day of my life. (: Ohh, & school starts September 8 for me. So, I'll be busy with that. ------- "Do you know what this is, Nick?" My mom handed me a piece of paper with blood stains splotched on it. "Mom, we have to find them." I held the picture in my hand; the picture of Lexis and Joe. The picture I helped Lex draw for her dad. "We have to find them!" -- After Lena cheered me up and let me cry, we decided to get in our PJ's and watch movies. We watched the first three Harry Potter movies and then gave up. We were both too tired and had to get to bed if we wanted to catch our flight to the camp. We were both almost drifted to sleep when my ringtone blared. "Ugh, fuck off.." I rolled over in the sleeping bag I was wrapped up in and grabbed my phone, answering it. "What.." "De--" "Hello?" "Dem.. It--Mo.." "Helloooo?" "Co..m--ho..me." "Go home?" I looked at Lena who was now wide awake with worry. "--Emi. He..p." The mush was followed by a long beep and I shut my phone. "Demi.." I held up my finger to shut up Sel and searched through my calls. "Dems, who was it?" My mouth fell open slightly at the sight of the number. "I have to go home." I heard Selena's voice muffle as I ran out of her house and down the street. I finally reached my house and sprinted inside. "Mom!?" "Who's there?" The voice didn't sound like my mom. In fact, it didn't even sound female. "Who is that? Where's my mom!?" I started crying uncontrollably as I searched, slowly and carefully, all of the rooms in our apartment. I got to my mom's room and was hesitant before opening the door. I cracked it open and peeked in. I looked around and saw my mom on her bed, blood smeared everywhere and a man over her with a kitchen knife. Before I could blink, the strange dick that my mom had screwed was in my face, the knife held up close to his face as if he were ready to attack. "Leave her alone!" All I remember was a hard slap to my face and being pushed onto the ground, my head hitting the hallway wall on the way down. -- I woke up in an extremely uncomfortable chair to the sound of beeping and murmurs. "Daddy?" My head shot up to the sight of my beautiful baby girl in a hospital gown. She was snuggled up on a hospital bed in those crunchy blankets they give you. "Alexis! You're awake, baby." I leaned forward in the chair and grabbed her hand with both of my hands. "Am I dead, Daddy?" I laughed once. "No, honey, you're not dead. You're perfectly alive," I lied. She wasn't perfectly alive. Her heart was punctured. The only way they could save her was if they could find a heart that could fit her body type. "Is HE dead?" "Who?" "The big, scary man." I looked at her with a puzzled look. I swept her bangs out of her face. "What did he look like, baby?" Tears started to form in her blue eyes; her mother's eyes. "He was scary, Daddy." "Aw, honey." I stood up and sat on the edge of her bed. I kissed her forehead and held both of her hands in mine. "He's gone now, okay? He won't hurt you anymore." There was a knock at the door and my reaction was to look up. The nurse stood there, waiting patiently. "We found a match, Mr. Jonas." I closed my eyes and smiled. "Wonderful." "What's matching, Daddy?" "Honey, you're going to be okay. Everything's going to be fine." -- I opened my eyes. Selena was sitting closest to me, Sterling on her other side. "Fuck my life," I whispered. "Shut up, Dems. You're alive, that's all that matters." I smiled at the sound of Selena's voice. "Where's my mom?" Her head immediately fell. Shit. This can't be good. "She, um, didn't make it." "Stupid fucking dick. I knew she shouldn't've been throwing herself out there!" "Demi," Sterling cut in. "She's dead. You shouldn't be yelling at her. She's doing a good thing, she's in a better place." "How can her death be good!?" "Her organs, Dem." Selena took over. "She's donating everything. You'll be saving a life." --------- This was really hard to write.. Seeing as how it's 12:00pm & I had to write the scene with Demi walking into her mom's room.. Kinda creepy. :l I hope you still like it, though xD.
