http://www.coasterimage.com Think you know the Great Nor'Easter? Think again! New for 2008 - Freedom Flight Seats! Great Nor'Easter is a custom designed Vekoma SLC (Suspended Looping Coaster). Admittedly, these coasters don't have the best reputation among coaster enthusiasts. They tend to give a shakey ride that when combined with a questionable train design leave the rider a little banged up. (enthusiasts often use the term "Hang & Bang" to describe SLC rides) Morey's updated their SLC in 2008 with a newer seat design that reduces most of the 'bang' associated with this style of coaster. Couple that with the fact that they also added a killer lighting scheme to the ride a few years back and you end up with quite a sight at night on the Jersey shore.
