THis video shows the working rebuild of the auger and gear box tail end of the manure spreader. This device was purchase used and capable of handling a little over 250 bushels of dry manure. THis video also is a good look at the cam and the drive chains/gears that run both the rear auger and the conveyor on the floor of the spreader that slowly moves the load towards the auger. This is one of the many pros of having a PTO driven spreader rather than a ground driven one. You can unload in place if necessary. It is also easy to check your mechanical fabrication handy work without having to keep pace with the tractor.
