MSNBC's "Countdown" with Keith Olbermann: "Worst Person in The World" - Republican Arizona State Senator Sylvia Allen says: the Earth is only 6,000 years old. SYLVIA ALLEN thinks we shouldn't have any environmental laws because god gave us this planet to use up 6,000 years ago. Ironically, she wants the Uranium that proved this planet is over four billion years old (Uranium-lead dating). Arizona state Senator Sylvia Allen (R) voices support for opening up uranium mining in the state. Sen. Allen responds to statements by environmentalists by assuring them that the "Earth is 6,000 years old ..." Twice. This is a common creationist claim: a 6,000 year old Earth contradicts science and goes by tracing the descendants of Adam and Even from the Christian Bible.
