Just some fun with the Massey Speech Project for Vista. Available free for download. http://www.massey.ac.nz/~tjmoir/ http://www.massey.ac.nz/~tjmoir/vista_source2.rar Speech recognition is with MS Vista (free) and synthesis with Kate16 from NeoSpeech. You must compile the source of course with Visual Studio (VB.NET) Don't have an executable at present. Thanks to Guile3D of Brasil and to the ALICE Artificial Intelligence Engine group. (ALICE is not used on this video though). This program will enable you to have a primitive conversation with teh agent, switch lights (with X-10 devices) read email, RSS feeds (the News),play music,search for music,search the web and so on. Before somebody says it - yes there are some syncing problems with the vid - sorry! This program ONLY WORKS WITH VISTA! (not windows 7 or XP). There is a simpler version for XP available - not as good. http://www.massey.ac.nz/~tjmoir/speech.html Now can we get the music too? Maybe but we need to make the voices have attitude.
