A380-841 series/msn 014/F-WWSK now VH-OQA.first a380 for Qantas airways landed at Sydneys Kingsford smith airport. Pilot Captain Peter PROBERT was particulary proud in memory of his father-who himself made history in 1971 by landing the first B747 at Sydney. The co-pilot on the a380 was Trent KRAMER.The naming ceremony takes place on september 30th. Nancy- Bird WALTON,OBE who the aircraft will be named after-will be attending. Australias famous female aviator is 92 years young.,will be 93 on October 16th.Nancy was born in Sydney.The *angel of the outback* was given the prestigious title of Dame of St John-the exclusive ancient order of the Knights of Malta. Was also made an Officer of The Order of Australia.
