After learning to play this song, and attempting to sing and fingerpick at the same time, I've realized that the mystery inherent in accomplishing this (to ME) is one half step removed from walking, chewing gum and patting YOUR stomach at the same time. From here. Needless to say, I'm keeping the vocals under wraps this time. I am also trying to use HYBRID PICKING, where I've got the pick between my thumb and index finger, and using my other fingers to pluck the strings, which can make it sound like you've got a bassist playin' along. For those Fender Stratocaster purists out there, YES this is an HSS (Humbucker, Single, Single) "Fat Strat" that has a nifty little button on the volume knob that automagically turns the bridge pickup into a dirty no good humbucker. I call this THE ROCKABILLY SWITCH. Maybe someday I'll sing this for you if I'm feeling ornery or cranky.
